One of Houston’s top ten most expensive homes sold last month is a sophisticated Tanglewood mansion that boasts a one-of-a-kind tequila room, a European style hotel-like bar, and a luxurious master bathroom complete with entertainment areas and a sound system, according to data provided by the Houston Association of Realtors.

Wine features — wine cellars, climate-controlled wine rooms and small wine closets — are expected by buyers in certain price ranges or certain geographic areas. Obviously, not every buyer in every price range wants a climate-controlled wine room, but the consensus among residential real estate professionals is that homes selling for over $800,000 or in certain geographic areas should have a wine feature of some sort.
